How to verify a certificate
Each certificate below is a real scan of the mill's works/manufacturer approval, issued to Wuhan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (WISCO). To verify independently, contact the classification society directly using the certificate number shown on each card — every society maintains its own register of approved manufacturers.
EN 10204 3.1 vs 3.2
Every shipment is accompanied by a mill test certificate (MTC) reporting the actual chemistry and mechanical test results for that heat. EN 10204 defines two relevant certificate types:
- Type 3.1
- Issued and validated by the manufacturer's own authorized quality department — the standard form for most commercial shipments.
- Type 3.2
- Adds independent countersignature by a third-party inspector — typically the classification society surveyor — confirming the results. Used when the buyer's contract or classification society requires third-party witnessed inspection.
Mill test certificate contents
The MTC lists the heat number, chemical composition, and mechanical test results (ReH, Rm, elongation, and Charpy impact where required) for the specific heat your plate was rolled from. It is a different document from the works/manufacturer approval certificates shown above: works approval certifies the mill is qualified to produce a grade at all, while the MTC reports the actual results for one shipment. We don't publish a sample MTC here since a real one carries a specific heat number and buyer's details — a genuine MTC accompanies every shipment.
